The Entertainer at Kinki Rooftop Bar - 1 for 1 deals!

What entertains you???

Food - I am obsessed with the topic and eating would naturally falls under my category of enjoyment. Thanks to the invite by Alvinology.com and the Entertainer, I had the chance to dwell further into my obsession.

The cocktail party was held at Kinki Rooftop Bar, conveniently located a couple of minutes walk from Raffles Place MRT station. Yay to a great chill out spot around the CBD area!

Best of all, you get to enjoy the splendid unblocked view of the iconic Marina Bay Sands!

Saw some familiar faces over here!

Right now for the month of July, all the Entertainer members are entitled to unlimited 1 for 1 Belvedere cocktails when a voucher for a main menu item is used!

Selfie with the drinks....The white cocktail tasted much nicer than the orange one!

It is just normal to pose for some 'gangsta' shot with such a nice graffiti painting as the background. I swear we were not drunk just by drinking a glass of vodka containing cocktail.

Yup! I have downloaded the Entertainer application! I started exploring on the spot because I could not wait to see what the application has to offer! Tons of participating restaurants (my eyes lit up!), nightspots, spas, activities, as well as lodging deals!

OMG, I have already started searching and bookmarking places for my future visits!

Being a dessert/cafe sort of person, I bookmarked:

Cozy Corner Coffee
Fluffy Dessert
Group Therapy
Habitat Coffee
Huggs Coffee Singapore
Lola's Cafe
Maple Loft Cafe
Marmalade Pantry
Stay Home Mum Cafe
Windowsill Pies
The Yogurt Place
Bruentti
Swirls Bake Shop
Kisses Bakery
Cupcakes with Love
Batterworks

Buffets:

Marriott Cafe
Lime Restaurant & Bar
(Already tried, will blog about my experience next time!)

Instead of the usual $19 for a month, enter the code 'dessertingbeauty' and you only need to pay $15 to purchase the Entertainer Singapore One Month Mobile! (Note: The discount code will expire on 31 July)

After your one month membership, you can simply choose to upgrade to the full product for a further $76, allowing you to keep redeeming your offers until 30th Dec 2014

Stay tune for more updates on my food journey using the Entertainer's application!

Domino's Pizza Kicks Off Footy Online Contest!

Hey! All the Football and Domino's Pizza Fans out there! Domino's Pizza once again launched something new and exciting for everybody! I was quite eager to attend since I had a great experience from the
previous Domino's Pizza event.

See the staffs were all so enthusiastic and eager to share about Domino's Pizza Kicks Off Footy Online
Contest! (Picture taken from William)

Check this poster out! The football season is here! More pizza, more football! The staff sure could pose
better than me as I am a seriously bad poser...
Check out the poster below!

Decided to take a selfie with the soccer ball above my head! I am no fan of soccer, but a fan of yummy
pizzas! Duh!
Before the food arrived, lecture first....we viewed a demonstration on the newly launched football game
that you could win great prizes from, such as an Ipad and a 60'' LED HDTV! More details can be found at
http://www.dominos.com.sg/ !

As for the game, log on to dominos.com.sg/kickoff to start. Remember to like the page first and it will
direct you to this screen.

Click to start playing this Flash game!

Any pro flappy bird fans out there? This could be your thing! Just click your mouse to control your ball
instead of a retarded birdie. Sounds easy? Not! I am a noob because I tried 3 times and my highest score
still remained at 2! WTH? Tell me there is a glitch.....Sadly no.

Time for my favorite part! I got to try one of the newer pizza addition which was the Ramano Margherita.
It felt so vegetarian since it was sprinkled generously with cherry tomatoes, black olives and feta cheese on
Napolitian Sauce. Just loved the cheesiness!

Savored the other baked snacks that would be worthy to munch on while watching soccer! Spotted something new??

Yes! The NEW Napolitana Baked Meatballs! The compact beef ball was firm and had a slight chewy
texture that made me craved for more! Although the cheese had clumped together, the tangy tomato based
sauce prevented the balls from being too dry. Really addictive!
(Picture taken from William because I was too busy enjoying, and neglecting to take a nice shot of it. )

See all the bloggers (including myself) enjoying ourselves at Domino's Pizza? (Picture taken from William)

Ending the night with a group shot! #typicalbloggers (Picture taken from William)
Thank you The Influencer Network and Domino's Pizza
 for the invite!

Helping out at a VIP Event @ Marina Bay Cruise Centre!

Just a little update - My last day of internship ended over a VIP Event located at Marina Bay Cruise
Centre. Fortunate for us trainees as it was our first outdoor event exposure that we get to experience,
instead of being enclosed within 4 walls of our production kitchen carrying out our boring routines.

Our job here as trainees would be to constantly refill the dessert spread whenever any desserts are
running low in numbers. The next few pictures would definitely make you salivate and desperate to dig into

the wide array of colourful petite portion desserts! I quickly snapped these pictures before the VIPs (about
800 pax) started swarming in with starving tummies.

Some of the lovely desserts available!

Colorful background lighting as well as sculpture decorations to enhance the overall presentation of the
buffet line.

More desserts! Too bad I did not get a chance to try most of them... I could if I wanted to, just that I did
not want such high amount of sugar intake in a single day.

Refreshing fresh cream with fruits!

Different types of cheese, dried fruits, grapes and plain crackers.

Fact #1 - Do not be surprise if you see many people (ladies especially), going directly towards the dessert
spread before having their main course.
Fact #2 - Macarons were the first to be completely wiped out, including the countless trays of spare which
I had to refill constantly throughout that evening.
Fact #3 - Some ladies really could eat up to 12 pieces of macarons (more is highly possible).
Fact #4 - Desserts could be ladies' main course instead.
Fact #5 - Top favorite macaron and first to run out was the nutella flavor (probably closest to chocolate
             flavor).

The lighting was kind of dim, resulting in blurry pictures. Although it was from 1.00 to 10.30pm that day, I
went at 9.00am in the morning to help out a bit. The experience sure was a load of fun, better than being
stuck in a production kitchen (wanted to stress on that point again)!

Launch of Ronald McDonald's Big Red Shoes bench!

On the 25th Oct 2013, McDonald has once again kicked off its annual McHappy Day fundraising with the launch of a travelling ''Ronald McDonald's Big Red Shoes bench'' at Dhoby Ghaut MRT station! As part of the McHappy day activities, McDonald will donate $1 per photo (instagram) with the hashtag #mchappydaysg, capped at 5000 entries, to RMHC. RMHC is an independent charity that had been running a ''home-away-from-home'' facility at National University Hospital (NUH) for families with children in intensive care.

I had a picture taken with Ronald McDonald's Big Red Shoes bench at Toa Payoh Bus Interchange! I
know my dressing style is rather horribly mismatched and I looked like I am in a sleeping attire. After
getting a stranger to snap this picture for me, I noticed that there were people queuing after me to take a
picture with this pair of large shoes! Just pass it on! Remember to upload your photo to instagram with

the hashtag #mchappydaysg !

Location of ''Ronald McDonald's Big Red Shoes'' bench

Dhoby Ghaut MRT station         26 Oct - 01 Nov
Harbourfront MRT station        02 Nov - 08 Nov
Toa Payoh Bus Interchange      09 Nov - 10 Nov
Boon Lay Bus Interchange        16 Nov - 22 Nov

On the 10th of Nov, I had the chance to attend a casual gathering with 7 other bloggers to witness the set
out of the event where about 500 staff volunteers from McDonald would hit the Singapore street to raise
awareness for RMHC by selling 'Ronald Smile' for S$2 each! Now for more pictures!

By 12.30, everyone were smiling happily, full of energy and prepared to set out to sell those 'Ronald
Smiles'! Can you spot Ronald McDonald among the crowd?

One really big happy family!

How could you not spam some great shots with Ronald McDonald before setting off?

This picture is so dam cute that I posted it!

Bloggers turn to have a picture with Ronald McDonald!

I bought a ''Ronald Smile'' for S$2 to store up some good karma points! OMG,
why my hair style like army recruit?!?

How could I resist not taking pictures of any food or drinks that appeared before my eyes! The sweet
mango fizzy drink was really refreshing! Imagine the hardworking volunteers out there trying their best

to sell as many ''Ronald Smiles'' as possible in the name of charity!

I got to try the newly launched (not long ago) Banana Pie too! Some may say it tasted like goreng pisang
(banana fritters) but I disagreed. I created a little mess while breaking the crisp shell apart, revealing the
golden brown banana and the gooey 'sauce' encased within. The banana texture was more towards

'stewed' and more mushy as compared to goreng pisang which has a somewhat firmer bite. It was such
a delicious snack to me since I loved the original apple pie too!
Hey minion, stop giving me that face! Those banana pies were the bloggers' share! Haha, I
think McDonald wanted to snatch all the bananas away from those minions!

(Minion picture from google image)

Kitson Choong (Chief Operation Officer) came to share with us more about the event as well as the
initiative! He stressed the word 'family' many times and I knew he was someone who would cherish family
and bonding really much. He also explained to us in details about the fundraising activities conducted and
the operation of RMHC that has been running a ''home away from home'' facility (Ronald McDonald
House). I felt that he was going to tear while explaining to us about children in the intensive care part...

A picture with COO!

Next, we had 2 of the volunteers who shared about their experience and why do they want to work at
McDonald for over 10 years! I know it was not easy to work in a F&B industry and what kept them going
was being part of the 'family' (the same thing COO had mentioned).

Time to camwhore a bit with May (left) and Janet (omy blog club administrator ; right)

Picture with Angela, May, Me, Kiahgek (left to right)
I felt that I am quite bad with posing for photos and my poses were so not natural LOL!...Still more

comfortable with taking pictures of food!

Another picture with Angela, May, Me, Yuki, Kiahgek (left to right)
I hoped McDonald could attain their desired amount for charity!

Thank you Omy blog club and Janet for the invitation!

Domino's Pizza launches new menu!

It was my first time attending an OMY Blog Club Event and trying out Domino's pizzas!
I was never a fan of pizzas in the first place, but I decided to taste how good a pizza can
actually be.

I was really nervous at first, seeing all the new faces and not knowing what to expect
from such an event. I settled myself around the middle of the long table and within
minutes, I started chatting with my new friends about topics revolved around blogging.
I realized there were many food bloggers around, all so eager to try out the new
pizzas available at Domino's!

Recognized to be the world leader in pizza delivery (free delievery!), Domino's pizza is getting really
popular due to its extensive menu of 28 specialty pizzas and 6 types of unique sauces! I was going to
salivate any moment just by thinking about the load of new pizzas. Obviously eat hard meant work hard
too, that's why I am posting this detailed post of my experience! The first pizza I tried was the chilli beef! It
was delightful to see small pieces of ground beef scattered around, mildly spicy and shiok!

What attracted me to the Parmagiana Chicken pizza were those wrinkled skin cherry tomatoes that
appeared to look like tarnished rubies over a rocky landscape of olives and chicken. The juices bursting
out from these tomatoes countered the dryness of the cheesy pizza.

I naturally love the earthy mushrooms which matched really well with those smoky pepperoni. The
landscape looked rather flat but actually the ingredients were well compact under the savory layer of cheese.

The Chickensaurus was quite overflowing with chunks of smoked chicken breast, chicken pepperoni as
well as mushrooms. It would be a rough one if you are not a meat lover as the meatiness sure was
overpowering!

The Smoky Meatilicious was yet another meat lovers ideal choice where ground beef and chicken sausage
laid before you. Minimal slices of greens would not stop you right?

This was something I did not try as the Napolitana Chicken pizza was too generous with its black olives.
It would be a like it or hate it thing as olives were definitely not fans of bloggers that day. Sadly, this
was the only pizza that was left untouched, except for a slice that went into an unknown person's stomach!

Last but not least, also a hot favorite among everyone was the the Alfredo Prawn pizza! Thin crust with a
layer of cheesy goodness, onions, red pepper, juicy pineapple and crunchy looking prawns! I took a slice
and left the prawn alone, wondering who would be the lucky one to have an extra prawn (I can't consume
due to shellfish allergy).

The chocolate lava cake which I did not try due to being afraid of acne outbreak. It was
really tempting to watch the other bloggers around me indulging in the gooey sinful
chocolate dessert!

Me enjoying my pizza slice!

Had snacks such as the garlic cheese onion rings, well seasoned roasted drumlets and
the tom yam chicken crunchies with spiciness too unbearable for me.

What bloggers usually do after eating? Camwhore! With gorgeous Janet from Omy,
who sacrificed her hair for a greater cause during the 'Hair for Hope event'. I was
wondering how she would look like with hair.

Posing with a giant menu! They should actually implement menu of this size so
that the pictures are clearer and easier for many people to read at the same time!

Me posing with one of the blogger! Hmm, what should we order?

Camwhoring with other pretty ladies...and do not underestimate them as they sure knew the meaning of
indulgence!

More shots with a going-to-ord-soon blogger!

Giant pizza anyone?

A shot with one of the pretty organizer of this event!

With another pretty lady whom I thought was a beauty blogger at first! Omg, I randomly took that cheese
dip to pose with. Awkward pose!

I did not get a chance to know some of the other bloggers due to our seating. Maybe
in future events next time!

Thank you Omy and Domino's Pizza for the invite!
